MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX -- The American Red Cross opened shelters in Harris, Liberty, Polk, San Jacinto, Montgomery, and Trinity Counties in response to the recent flooding due to rain and the rising waters around the rivers. As of last night, we had over 100 people stay in our open shelters all across the region.

Our Texas Gulf Coast Disaster Team is working with local county officials and emergency managers to determine the needs in several communities due to flooding. If you were impacted and need Red Cross assistance, please call 1-800-Red-Cross.
