CONROE, TX -- Not much has changed at Lake Conroe today, San Jacinto River Authority's current release from Lake Conroe is 16,105 cubic feet per second (cfs). Lake level is currently 201.65 feet.

With additional rain overnight, Lake Conroe remains temporarily closed due to the possibility of submerged objects, floating debris, and other hazards that could pose safety risks.

High winds and rapidly-flowing water from local streams can result in a large amount of floating debris on the reservoir. With bulkheads becoming submerged, lake area residents should also be cautious of electrical outlets and equipment coming into contact with water.

We will continue to monitor rain and runoff in the area throughout the weekend. We are in coordination with Montgomery County Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management and Texas Department of Emergency Management.
