2014 Energy Network Forum Speaker Announced

THE WOODLANDS, Texas - Energy Network Business Forum is bringing together oil and gas professionals to network over exploration and production activity, mergers/acquisitions, and current business opportunities. Companies that will be participating include major oil companies, mega independents, international investment firms, capital providers, private companies, equity partners, government entities, and land companies. Included in this one day networking event (October 30, 2014 at the Hyatt Place, Research Forest Dr.) will be a plated luncheon featuring a prominent industry professional, Mr. Gregory Walz, Senior Drilling Engineering Advisor for Anadarko Petroleum Company.

Gregory Walz is a Senior Drilling Engineering Advisor with Anadarko Petroleum Corporation. Gregory has thirty three years of experience with onshore and offshore operations, including deepwater and arctic. He has a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering from the New Mexico Institute of Technology. He is a member of the SPE, ASME, and NACE. Gregory has held various operational, global technical support, and technology development roles. Gregory is currently leading Anadarko’s 20ksi technology development.

Walz's topic for the first quarterly business forum will be 'The Challenges of Technology Development for Deepwater, 6,000 feet water depth, 20,000 psi rated, 350F Drilling, Completions, Intervention, Subsea and Subsurface System for Gulf of Mexico (GoM).'

All net proceeds from this event will benefit the Greater Woodlands Public Art Foundation – Preservation Project, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization whose vision is to build community awareness, encourage educational creativity as well as provide ongoing preservation support for The Woodlands Outdoor Sculptures by increasing awareness for and appreciation of art in The Woodlands region.
