Merrier Thursdays continue at The Woodlands Mall, December 11 & 18

THE WOODLANDS, Texas – On Merrier Thursdays, The Woodlands Mall puts the sparkle back in holiday shopping with Merrier Thursdays, a series of special, no-stress evenings designed just for fun. The halls will be a twinkle with special decorations. The retailers will be brimming with good cheer. And guests will enjoy an evening of unique and engaging activities from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursdays, December 4, 11 and 18.

The highlight of each of the Merrier Thursdays is a holiday poet who will be ready and waiting to create one-of-a-kind poems for guests. It’s easy: each guest provides the poet with hints to a loved ones special talents or attributes. The poet, with a twinkle in his eye, will then create a special poem, which will be printed on parchment and placed in a decorative envelope, ready to put under the tree. There’s no charge, the special greeting is compliments of The Woodlands Mall.

The merry making begins at 5 p.m. when visitors roam throughout the brightly decorated halls, socializing with friends and enjoying a variety of activities. Along with the opportunity to have a personalized poem created, guests can enjoy:


Live performances. Music and merriment will fill the shopping center as entertainers take to the stage to delight and surprise guests. Marquee acts will be the focus of the evening, with smaller entertainment groups taking to the stage and also wandering around, entertaining as they go.

Holiday hosting tips. Here’s the spot where holiday hosts and hostesses will want to stop. Guests can pick up new ideas and tips for party planning and get first-hand knowledge from professional party planners. As well, restaurants at The Woodlands Mall will treat guests to samples of light bites and non-alcoholic beverages that would be ideal for a holiday event.

Happiness patrol. Special happiness envoys will roam the mall from 5 to 8 p.m., surprising and delighting guests with gifts and little items of merriment. A refreshing mint, a bottle of water, a gift card –little surprises to add to the evening.

And more. Retailers throughout The Woodlands Mall will join in the fun, offering shoppers special giveaways, exclusive discounts, prizes and more, even appetizers and wine for those who are of age and have registered for Merrier Thursdays.

There is no charge to attend and reservations are not needed.
