The Woodlands restaurant inspections: December 31-January 12

THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- Montgomery County Environmental Health Services reports on restaurant demerits from The Woodlands area inspections conducted between December 31-January 12.

Demerits:

Villa Sport Café, 4141 Technology Forest Blvd—10 demerits

--Need hot water at all hand sinks

--Need thermometer in all cooling units

--Hot water under pressure

Walgreens, 4585 Research Forest Drive—4 demerits

--Dented cans (removed from shelf)

Papa John’s Pizza, 8000 Research Forest Drive, suite 105—6 demerits

--Thermometers missing

--Can openers need to be cleaned/sanitized

Park Manor of The Woodlands, 1014 Windsor Lakes Blvd.—6 demerits

--Dishwasher sanitizer was not primed (corrected on site)

--Can opener not clean

Sonic Drive-In, 5922 FM 1488—3 demerits

--3/c sink not set up; pipe disconnected under hand sink in front of service area

Double Dragon, 6875 FM 1488, suite 900—11 demerits

--Label all dry goods not identified by sight

--Eating while preparing good

--Improper sewage disposal

Subway, 6315-A FM 1488—3 demerits

--Lacked a certified food manager

Texas Mart (Chevron), 4870 FM 1488—10 demerits

--Lack of hot water supply

--Need hand sink by 3-c sink

--Leaking hand sinks need to be repaired

--Need thermometers working properly

--Open drink glass stored on top shelf (moved)

--Missing paper towels (replaced)

--Open bag of cornstarch

--Cross-contamination of raw/cooked foods

--Clean bottom shelves on cook line
