THE WOODLANDS, Texas – Crossing Borders, an organization dedicated to teaching language and cultural awareness to individuals that have moved to the community, will celebrate its annual International Food Festival from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, February 26, at its Woodlands location.

The festival was conceived as an informative, educational and tasty way for students of all ages – as well as the staff at Crossing Borders – to showcase their native lands’ traditions and cuisines. Along with the actual dishes, participants will also bring the recipes to be added to the upcoming Crossing Borders Cookbook.

“This annual festival has grown into a day the entire organization looks forward to,” Crossing Borders CEO Elvia Taylor said. “The participants love it because they get to share a piece of their homeland with others, plus they get to literally get a taste of their friends’ cultures.”

Home countries of the students and staff that will be showcased at the festival include Mexico, Venezuela, Columbia, Brazil, Argentina, Russia, Spain, Angola, Beijing, Norway and the Czech Republic. The festival will also include traditional music, dress and activities.
