Lady Highlanders have a magical day at Disney
LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. - The Woodlands Lady Highlanders softball team bounced back in a big way Thursday morning in a lopsided 22-0 win in three innings over Blair Academy of New Jersey at Disney’s Wide World of Sports Softball Complex.
The Woodlands (16-2, 3-2) scored 18 runs in the top of the third inning, after building a 4-0 lead en route to the victory, as 12 different Lady Highlanders got hits as The Woodlands went 21-of-29 at the plate combined along with 21-RBI’s.
Emily Langkamp went three innings as the starting pitcher, giving up just one hit, with one walk and four strikeouts to the 21 total batters she faced. Emily also went 4-for-4 with six-RBI’s to lead the Lady Highlanders offense.
Aubrey Leach and Alayis Seneca combined to go 6-for-10 at the plate with six-RBI’s and five runs scored in a game the Lady Highlanders were never challenged in.
The Woodlands will return to district play on Tuesday, March 24, at Summer Creek at 6pm.
