ATASCOCITA, Texas - The Oak Ridge War Eagles baseball team got another stellar pitching performance from Luken Baker and timely hitting from Michael Lawson and Anthony Smith en route to a 3-0 district road win over Atascocita on Tuesday night.

Baker, a TCU-commit, pitching six solid innings giving up just four hits, no runs, four walks and striking out 10. Miles Dunn pitching a scoreless seventh inning with two strikeouts to get the save for Oak Ridge.

Oak Ridge (10-1, 3-0) got off to a quick start, scoring two runs in the top of the first inning when Lawson singled a hard ground ball to right field scoring courtesy runner Matt Mihalov from third base. Riley McKnight reached base on a single and then stole home to make it a 2-0 Oak Ridge lead.

Atascocita (10-8, 0-2) had a chance to rally in the bottom of the fourth inning when the bases were loaded with no outs, however Luken Baker went to work to leave all three stranded by striking out the side to end the threat. Atascocita only got two hits, both singles for the final three innings.

Oak Ridge will host College Park on Friday, March 27, at 7pm in a first place battle that can be seen live on Woodlands Online.
