THE WOODLANDS, Texas - Come Grow with Us was the theme this year as a crowd of 6,000 visitors spread out over 10-acres on the award winning Tree Campus USA's Lone Star College Montgomery's campus to discover all aspects that nature offers during this free family fun day of learning and interactive activities among some 140 learning stations at Texas Wildlife & Woodland Expo and Spring Fling 2015. An astonishing 2,000 trees were given away and found new homes around southeast Texas celebrating Montgomery County's Arbor Day.

According to Expo 2015 event partner John Warner with Texas A&M Forest Service, "Our collaborative partnerships with Texas Parks & Wildlife, Texas A&M AgriLife Extension, Lone Star College Montgomery, and Montgomery County Beautification Association provide common ground and enable us to bring our combined educational and outreach resources together in one mega-event so we can actively engage community residents on the importance of managing natural resources for a safe and healthy environment so people may enjoy, play, and live."

This was the 11th year for Texas Wildlife & Woodland Expo that from year-one has been 100% free thanks to the generosity of supporters and the donation of nearly 2,600 hours from 400 volunteers.
