Current Montgomery County debt is second highest at $446,595,000 without any new debt. Add $350 million for the road bonds and that will catapult Montgomery County to NUMBER ONE DEBTOR position at $796,595,000 in this list of comparable size counties from the Texas State Comptroller’s office.
