ORIGINAL:

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas - Two thieves posed as new employees of the Montgomery County Food Bank (MCFB) this afternoon and took hundreds of pounds of food to be donated from a local grocery store. The food was stolen Friday afternoon at approximately 1 p.m. from a major grocery store who had set aside the donation for the food bank.<p>

“Food donations play a major role in how we help feed the food insecure in Montgomery County,” says Rodney Dickerson, President of MCFB. “The stolen food could have meant much needed meals that we will now have to determine how to provide."<p>

The two thieves wore plastic nametags stating “Montgomery County Food Bank” and were driving a red Dodge truck. (See photo of thieves for description.) If anyone recognizes either of these individuals, MCFB asks that you please contact the local police department or sheriff’s department with information.<p>
