The Woodlands restaurant inspections: May 11-19

THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- Montgomery County Environmental Health Services reports on restaurant demerits from The Woodlands area inspections conducted between May 11-19.

Demerits:

Grotto, 9595 Six Pines Drive, Suite 100—11 demerits


Employee handling clean dishes with bare hands/Drink glass on top shelf

Not sanitizing

Replace vents above dishwasher

The Goose’s Acre Bistro & Irish Pub—4 demerits


Repair leaking faucet in bar area

The Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel & Convention Center Tuscany, 1601 Lake Robbins Drive—4 demerits


Repair leaking faucets

The Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel & Convention Center Main Kitchen, 1601 Lake Robbins Drive—7 demerits


Drinking glass on top shelves (removed)

No soap or paper towels at dishwashing station

Atsumi Asian Kitchen Sushi Bar, 3335 College Park Drive, Suite 800—36 demerits


Food stored in non-food grade containers such as opened cans and grocery bags

Keep all food contact items cleaned and sanitized including can opener

Need towels and soap at all hand sinks

All sinks need to have properly working faucets capable of shutting off

Need to properly defrost all frozen foods, i.e. in cooler, under running water, in microwave or direct cooking

Do not store any food uncovered or on floor

Label items not in original packaging i.e. sugar and flour

Do not store chemicals near food

***Demerits needed to be corrected within 3-7 days. Three days later, Atsumi Asian Kitchen & Sushi Bar had ZERO demerits
