CONROE, Texas - Celebrating their first-year anniversary with family and friends, the atmosphere at Russo’s New York Pizzeria in Conroe this past Tuesday, was very much in the tradition that spawned the business 43 years ago...an intimate co-mingling of conversation and camaraderie with the pleasures of great food and drink.

Guillermo Medellin, who owns and operates Russo’s, brought this concept to Conroe a year ago, and the community has embraced the simplicity of a pizzeria with the ambiance of a fine Italian restaurant that serves fresh food in a casual dining environment.

Made fresh from scratch with high-quality ingredients, the authentic Italian recipes date back several generations originating in Sicily and Naples, via New York...thus the New York style award- winning, brick oven pizza and calzone. A mantra of the business is, “If it isn’t fresh, don’t serve it!”

Open daily from 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., Russo’s offers Lunch Specials Monday thru Friday, 11 a.m. – 3 p.m., and Happy Hour picks up where the Lunch Specials stop...Monday thru Friday 3 - 6 p.m. Unique to Russo’s is their “Wine Down Wednesdays” with 2 for 1 glasses of wine, and 30% bottles of wine.

Beginning in August, catering will be offered for meetings, parties, and celebrations, further growing their reputation and service for fresh Italian food at affordable prices. The Conroe restaurant is one of three of Medellin's Russo’s locations, the other is at 3335 College Park Drive #300 in The Woodlands on SH 242, and their newest location at Spring Market Place in the Kroger shopping center at 24230 Kuykendahl, #200, in Tomball.

The Conroe Russo's NY Pizzeria asks the public to help them celebrate their first anniversary by coming in and dining with them
