David Dunlap takes helm as Chair of The John Cooper School Board of Trustees

THE WOODLANDS - The newly elected officers of The John Cooper School Board of Trustees for the 2015-16 year are David Dunlap, chair; Gerald Glenn, vice-chair; Brian Petrauskas, treasurer; and Johnna Edone, secretary. New to the board are Becky Bayless, Worthing Jackman and Bryan Brown. The new members were welcomed at the annual board retreat that was held on August 22.

Terms were renewed for former board chair Yvette Aquino, David Chenault and Bob Udell. Rounding out the Board of Trustees are DeeAnn Anderson, Sanette Austin, Richard Avant, Stacey Bourque, Mark Farley, David Field, Shaun Finnie, Sheena Mani, Mike Minarovic, Gerry Pate, Somir Paul, Carlos Ramirez, Doug Rock and Tim Teuscher.

New board chairman David Dunlap has served on the Cooper Board of Trustees for eight years. Dunlap is Chief Executive Officer of Superior Energy Services, and previously worked for BJ Services Company for 25 years, where he was Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. A graduate of Texas A&M University with a bachelor's of science degree in petroleum engineering, Dunlap and his wife, Anne, reside in The Woodlands with their five children.

Established in 1988, The John Cooper School is a Pre-K through Grade 12 college preparatory independent school. The school opened the 2015-16 academic year on August 20 with a record enrollment of 1,200 students and is currently constructing on campus a 55,000-square-foot Rock Center for Math and Science that will open for the 2016-17 school year.
