THE WOODLANDS – James Noack, conservative Republican Montgomery County Commissioner in Precinct 3, stood up, yet again, for the voters of Precinct 3 at Commissioner’s Court when a proposed project—that the voters had already rejected—was discussed.

Today Houston Galveston Area Council, (HGAG) presented to the Commissioner’s Court the 2015 update to the Montgomery County Major Thoroughfare Plan. This is a long-range plan that identifies the type and general location of future roadways. This plan includes, with the support of the other Commissioner and County Judge, the infamous Woodlands Parkway Extension that voters decidedly voted against in last May’s Bond Election.

Commissioner Noack said in response, “I support the planning process and thank HGAC for their efforts. However, to indicate support for the Woodlands Parkway extension without mentioning the opposition is troublesome. Downplaying that 80+% of the Woodlands voters opposed the extension in May isn't acceptable. I stand with my voters. I oppose the extension and will do everything in my power to represent their interests to make sure their voice is heard.”
