Montgomery County Sheriff's blotter: January 25-31

THE WOODLANDS, Texas — The following incidents were reported by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office between January 25-31.

District 2 – Lt. Jim Fleming (South County)

On January 25, Deputy J. Allen attempted to stop a vehicle on a traffic violation in the 11900 block of Grogans Mill Road. The vehicle evaded the Deputy and pulled into an apartment parking lot. The male driver was detained. The 37 year old male from Spring was arrested at 1:19am, charged with evading and five outstanding traffic warrants.

On January 25, Deputies S. Lee and W. Sharman stopped a vehicle in the 25000 block of Interstate 45 North. The vehicle returned as a stolen vehicle out of Harris County and had been taken during an aggravated robbery. There were three occupants in the vehicle. The 41 year old male driver, from Houston, was arrested at 6:25am and charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. A 28 year old female, from Houston, was arrested and charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, a bond revocation warrant out of Harris County and a failure to appear warrant. A 35 year old female, from Spring, was arrested and charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and a bond revocation warrant out of Gregg County. All three were taken to jail.

A 43 year old male from Houston was arrested at 7:50pm, January 25, and taken to jail from the 25000 block of Interstate 45 North, by Deputy Z. Vercher, for a failure to appear warrant and a capias warrant.

On January 26, Sergeant. J. Barber was sent to an accident scene in the 8200 block of FM 1488 involving an intoxicated male driver. The 41 year old male from Magnolia was arrested at 1:45am, charged with driving while intoxicated, and transported to jail.

On January 27, Deputies S. Lee and W. Sharman were notified of a robbery in the 1000 block of Sawdust Road. The Deputies met with a loss prevention officer who had been assaulted by a female in her attempt to leave the store parking lot with stolen items. The Deputies detained the female. The 42 year old female from Willis was arrested at 8:08pm and taken to jail.

A 25 year old female from Houston was arrested at 10:53pm, January 27, and taken to jail from the 25000 block of Interstate 45 North, by Deputies S. Lee and W. Sharman, for an alias capias warrant.

On January 27, Deputy J. Logan responded to the 1000 block of Sawdust Road, in reference to two males “huffing” inhalants in the parking lot. The Deputy located the males and detained them. The males, 20 and 22 years of age, from Beaumont and Tomball, were arrested at 11:17pm, and transported to jail.

On January 28, Deputy J. Logan was sent to a location on Great Oaks Drive, in reference to a criminal trespass. The Deputy located the male suspect and detained him. The 30 year old male from Conroe was arrested at 1:26am and taken to jail.

On January 29, Deputies S. Lee and W. Sharman were notified of two intoxicated males in the 300 block of Sawdust Road. The Deputies located the males and detained them. The males, 23 and 24 years of age, both from Houston, were arrested at 2:06am and taken to jail.

On January 29, Deputy J. Logan responded to a bar in the 300 block of Pruitt Road, in reference to an intoxicated male. The Deputy located the male and detained him. The 23 year old male from Spring was arrested at 2:10am and transported to jail.

A 32 year old male from Katy was arrested at 3:06am, January 31, and taken to jail from a location on Sawdust Road, by Deputy Z. Vercher, for a criminal mischief warrant.

On January 31, Deputy R. Leverston stopped a vehicle on a traffic violation on Rayford Road. The female driver was found to be intoxicated. The 38 year old female from Humble was arrested at 4:03am, charged with driving while intoxicated, and transported to jail.

District 6 – Lt. David Dottei (Woodlands)

On January 25, Deputy Robinson and Deputy Herman were dispatched to a warrant service at 9200 Grogan’s Mill Road. Upon arrival, they made contact with the suspect, an 18 year old female, and then confirmed the warrant and placed her into custody. The suspect was transported to the Montgomery County Jail without incident.

On January 25, Deputy Brown was dispatched to 9595 Six Pines Drive, for a shoplifter in custody call. The suspect, a 34 year old female, attempted to take $19.75 worth of merchandise from the HEB. During the investigation, the suspect was found to have an outstanding warrant for her arrest. The suspect was issued a citation for the theft and taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Jail for the warrant.

On January 26, Deputy Garcia and Deputy M. Evans were dispatched to a residence on Dew Fall Court, in reference to assisting Juvenile Probation Officers with a search warrant. During the search of the juvenile’s room, a safe was located with marijuana and other narcotics. The juvenile was transported to the Montgomery County Juvenile Detention facility. A 44 year old female was taken into custody for possession of narcotics after she claimed ownership of the safe and contents. The suspect was then transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

On January 28, Deputy Bowers conducted a traffic stop on State Highway 242 near Greenbridge Drive. During the course of the traffic stop, Deputy Bowers found that the driver had 6 outstanding warrants for his arrest. After confirming the warrants, the driver, a 37 year old male, was taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Jail without incident.

On January 28, Deputy Langston was dispatched to 3040 College Park Drive, in reference to a fraud. The suspect, a 27 year old female, was attempting to cash a fraudulent check in the amount of $1196.23. After verifying the check was fraudulent, Deputy Langston placed the suspect into custody for forgery of a financial instrument and transported her to the Montgomery County Jail without incident.

On January 30, Deputy Janke was at 10001 Woodlands Parkway when he was notified by Asset Protection Officers of a theft in progress. The suspect, a 56 year old male, attempted to take $8.55 worth merchandise from Walmart. The suspect was found to have given the officer a fictitious name and date of birth. When correct information was obtained, the suspect was found to have previous convictions for theft, and a warrant for his arrest through the Pardons and Parole office. The suspect was charged with felony theft and failure to identify – fugitive, and was transported to the Montgomery County Jail without incident.
