THE WOODLANDS, Texas – The Woodlands Area Chamber of Commerce’s 30th annual Economic Outlook Conference is still three weeks away, but already tickets are being sold at a brisk pace. Conference organizers point out that the event typically sells out, and encourage people who have yet to purchase their tickets to do so soon.

Local business owners and entrepreneurs are encouraged to register before event is sold out

The theme of this year’s conference is Grounded in Our Roots – Branching to the Future. The event, presented by The Woodlands Area Economic Development Partnership (EDP), takes place Friday, February 26 from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott & Convention Center. “Tickets for chamber members are $145 each,” said J.J. Hollie, president and CEO of The Woodlands Area Economic Development Partnership. “For non-members, they are only slightly more expensive at $175 each. However, if you join our Chamber that day, you’ll get the member discount.”

The conference will include experts from numerous fields to bring awareness to the economic and developmental needs of The Woodlands and its surrounding areas. The lineup of speakers includes: U.S. Congressman Kevin Brady, 8th District of Texas; Alex Sutton and Tim Welbes, Co-Presidents – The Woodlands Development Company / A Division of The Howard Hughes Corporation; Gil Staley, Chief Executive Officer – The Woodlands Area Economic Development Partnership; Mick Normington, Business Researcher – Texas Workforce Commission; featured economist Kate Warne, Ph.D., CFA, Principal, Investment Strategist – Edward Jones; and keynote speaker Greg Brenneman, Chairman, President & CEO – CCMP Capital. The conference will also feature a panel of experts to discuss the area’s growing healthcare industry.
