Widespread street flooding in south Montgomery County

SOUTH MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas - Although the storm system has passed, the community is still reeling from the impact as the runoff is causing creeks to crest creating more flooding. A Flood Warning issued by the National Weather Service Friday night forecasted the flooding of The Woodlands and surrounding areas, and early Saturday morning street flooding was widespread. Drivers urged to restrict driving until flood waters recede.

High Water Locations.

Law enforcement agencies and county officials are urging residents to restrict their driving and stay off the streets. The following thoroughfares are currently closed due to high water:

Gosling Road
Kuykendahl
Riley Fuzzel
FM 2978
Texas 249

Tolls have been waived on the Grand Parkway from I-45N to US 59, until flood waters recede.
