UPDATES: Double killing in The Woodlands believed to be murder-suicide

Official statement from the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office...

On 07/02/2016 at approximately 3:00 p.m., Montgomery County Sheriff’s office Patrol Deputies responded to a welfare check in reference to two deceased bodies in the 100 block of North Mews Wood Court. Upon deputies arrival they located a deceased male and deceased female inside of the residence.

At this time the identities of the deceased are not being released due to the next of kin being notified.

UPDATE:

The double killing Saturday afternoon in The Woodlands is believed to be a murder-suicide per the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office. A 911 call was received by a dispatcher from an anonymous caller. According to the Lt. Dan Zientek of the MCSO, the call came from inside the house, and it's suspected the call was made prior to the killings by the shooter who is believed to be the deceased male.

The incident is still under investigation.. Updates as more information is provided.

THE WOODLANDS, Texas - A double killing occurred Saturday afternoon in The Woodlands at approximately 3:00 p.m. Montgomery County Sheriff deputies were called to the scene and discovered the bodies of an adult male and an adult female who appeared to be shot in the head.

Detectives have not determined if the deaths are a double homicide, or a murder/suicide. Autopsy reports will determine the cause of the deaths.

The killings took place in a home at 107 N. Mews Court off Vision Blvd., in the northeast corner of The Woodlands, just west of I-45N.

Names have been withheld pending further development of the investigation. Updates to be provided when more information is released.
