Alternate routes From The Woodlands during IRONMAN to reach grand opening of Conroe’s Grand Central Park

THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- Residents of The Woodlands looking to attend the grand opening of Montgomery County’s newest community, Grand Central Park, on Saturday, April 22 during the Memorial Hermann IRONMAN North American Championship can avoid delays by taking one of two alternative routes.

Families from The Woodlands can reach Grand Central Park’s Grand Opening Jamboree by heading north on Kuykendahl, then east on 1488 to I-45 where they will head north to Loop 336 in Conroe. Head west on Loop 336 and Grand Central Park will be on the left. As an alternative route, families can travel north on Gosling Road, then head east on 242 where they will connect with I-45.

Open from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., Grand Central Park’s Grand Opening Jamboree will celebrate the community’s official grand opening with the debut of its nine model showcase homes, prize drawings, camp cuisine, music and children’s activities as the treasured, forested setting begins its next chapter as Houston’s most anticipated master-planned community.

In addition to touring the community’s nine luxury model homes, visitors to Grand Central Park’s all-day Grand Opening Jamboree can register to win an amazing Jeep tour of Sedona, Arizona. Families also can register for a chance to win camping gear with everything needed to set up camp from the backyard to the back woods. Light refreshments will be available at a Canteen Bar while children can meet Smokey The Bear, climb a rock wall and take photos with a kangaroo and her joey.
