The Woodlands, TX --

College Park vs Cy-Woods
The Lady Cavaliers Volleyball team faced off against the Cy Woods Wildcats Tuesday evening. In a great display teamwork and perseverance, the Lady Cavaliers would win the game in a three-set sweep.

“I thought it was a great win in three. Cy Woods played a good game and we had to make some adjustments in the third set.” Said Head Coach of College Park Volleyball Candice Gibson. “It was great to see the girls overcome the adversity. It was a good home win for us after the tournament this weekend, so it was good to get our feet under us and get the win”

The first period saw a slow start for the Lady Cavaliers but after a few great plays, they were rolling. They would use the momentum to win the first period 25 to 16. The second period saw that same momentum in the first and thrust them to a 25 to 14 win. Though, in the third period, a lapse of this momentum was shown. With a few errors on the side of the Lady Cavaliers, the Wildcats would turn the third into a barn burner. It was neck and neck, but the Lady Cavaliers were able to keep the Wildcats at bay with a 25 to 22 win in the third set.
