Summer Reading Program Kickoff
Thursday, June 1 from 3:00-5:00 PM
Kick off the 2023 Summer Reading Program with us! This year's SRP theme is All Together Now and we're celebrating with fun activities for the whole family! Stop by the kickoff to register for SRP, participate in a Community Art project, and complete other fun crafts and activities! For more information, call the library at 832-559-4200.

HCPL’s Summer Reading Program is officially here! The theme for this year is “All Together Now!” Join us from June 5th - August 5th to log your reading minutes on the Beanstack app and earn free prizes for everyone! Audiobooks and e-books count as reading too! Earn 100 points to win your first prize, a free book!

Baby Bookworms

Join other babies and parents/caregivers for weekly story time fun! Baby Bookworms uses age-appropriate stories, songs and finger plays, and playtime to engage babies and their parents/caregivers. Love playing the Pokémon card game and discussing all things Pokémon with fellow fans? Join the Pokémon League every first and third Saturday, sponsored by the Magnolia City Pokémon Gym. Marsha’s Petting Zoo

Magician John O’Bryant

Magician John O’Bryant will be visiting LSC-Tomball Community Library and you don’t want to miss it! His NEW Summer Reading Magic Show for 2023 is filled with amazing magic, hilarious comedy, audience participation, and more incredible surprises! This program is for all ages. Brain Games: Movement Challenge

Get ready to get moving! Prepare for your mind and body to work together to overcome physical and mental challenges. Lead blindfolded friends through obstacle courses! Think your way through hula-hoop mazes! Keep balloons flying without using your hands! We’ll help strengthen your mind and your body with this one! This program is for kids ages 7-12. Intro to Indian Dance

Learn more about traditional Indian dance! During this program, kids will watch a short demonstration of traditional dances from India, performed by Vinanti and her students. K-9 Sergeant Quinn

Learn more about a special kind of working dog: the K-9 officer! At this program, special guest K-9 Sergeant Quinn from Klein ISD will showcase his sniffing skills and his handler will teach kids all about K-9 officers! Note: Because he is working, program attendees will not be able to pet Quinn. This program is for kids, teens and adults ages 7 and up. Tickets are not required. Space Camp

Books Alive: Too Many Frogs

Books Alive adapts children's literature into fully staged original 45-minute musicals, carefully honoring the author’s message and encouraging students to develop a love of books while often providing their first opportunity to see live theater. Crafted and performed by a professional troupe, productions are big & engaging, fun & entertaining for all ages. Our Summer 2023 production is an adaptation of Too Many Frogs by Sandy Asher. R.E.A.D.

The Reading Education Assistance Dogs will be here! Pick a book and share it one on one with a furry friend from Pets with a Mission! Soldiers Supplies Donations
All month long, 1st floor donation box
We will be collecting donations all month long to be sent to Boots for Troops, a local non-profit that mails care packages to troops deployed across the globe. Items needed for donation include dry snacks, toiletries, books, candy, ground coffee, letters of encouragement, etc. Donations can be dropped off at the library’s 1st floor elevators in the donation box. Tomball Author Fest
Saturday, June 24th from 11:00am – 2:00pm
This exciting free event brings together over 20 local authors from a wide variety of genres. Meet and greet these amazing authors and get your books signed in person. Not only will you have the opportunity to interact with local authors, but you will also be supporting a great cause. A portion of all book sales goes to the Tomball Friends of the Library, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting the Tomball Community Library and its programs. Book sales are facilitated by the authors and our community partner, Buy the Book bookstore.
