THE WOODLANDS, TX - Skeeter Hubert, local businessman and candidate for State Representative District 15 - which covers The Woodlands - recently celebrated a ribbon-cutting ceremony at The Woodlands Area Chamber of Commerce.

Businessman joins Chamber to prepare for election season

'In my candidacy for State Representative, I have met with many business owners in The Woodlands, Shenandoah, Oak Ridge North, and Benders Landing areas that want government policies that reduce financial burdens, simplify processes and create an environment to help them grow,' said Hubert.

At the ceremony, flanked by his wife and daughter, Hubert discussed his four-pillar campaign strategy, concentrating on education, business governance, commerce, and transportation and water issues.

Hubert, who also serves on the Conroe Independent School District board, said, 'I have committed most of my adult life working in and serving the business community. At 31, I launched my own investment and insurance firm in Montgomery County which I owned until 2014 when I joined Woodforest Financial services as a Senior Vice President. I have committed most of my adult life to serving the business community and I plan to continue championing these interests.'

Hubert explained that his platform is firmly based in strong business. 'It's vital we allow our businesses to work; small businesses are the backbone of our society,' he said. 'We need to bring our views to Austin, not the other way around.'
