THE WOODLANDS, TX – Visit The Woodlands, the official Convention and Visitors Bureau for the Township, announced that it has successfully lobbied for and been chosen to be the site of the 2024 ‘New Ideas’ conference presented by the Texas Society of Association Executives (TSAE). The conference will be hosted at The Woodlands Resort - Curio Collection by Hilton on September 14 - 16 of next year.

Woodlands Online sat down with Josie Lewis, the director of sales for Visit The Woodlands, for an exclusive interview.

“We’re so excited that the conference is coming here; the process to be selected has been five or six years in the making, and it’s a very big showcase for our community,” she said.

As a venerable yearly event, the TSAE New Ideas Annual Conference is a signature event that brings together association professionals and suppliers from all aspects of the association industry. Lewis noted that Visit The Woodlands’ own resident association is the Texas Association of Convention and Visitors Bureaus.

“Presidents, CEOs, and staff of any industry can be represented by a relevant association, and they will be coming to The Woodlands so that we can give them the experience of this destination event,” she said. She anticipates approximately 600 attendees. “This TSAE conference brings leaders and staff together as a primary resource for their continuing education.”

Visit The Woodlands will host the opening night event. “It was a very big, formal process to earn the opportunity to host it,” said Lewis.

This weekend, staff from Visit The Woodlands will head up to Ft. Worth for the 2023 ‘New Ideas’ Conference. Naturally, they’ll be keeping an eye out on how the northern city handles the 20+ concurrent breakout sessions, multiple inspirational keynotes, and other conference activities to ensure an even better experience is prepared for 2024.
