THE WOODLANDS, TX – For the 13th year, The John Cooper School’s volleyball program presented a special annual event, the Dig Pink celebration.

Special volleyball-related event raises funds and awareness for the fight against breast cancer

Each year, Dig Pink & The Side Out Foundation gives the school’s volleyball players the opportunity to play for a cause. Dig Pink is a unique event organized by the Cooper Booster Club where schools, tournaments and clubs unite communities by hosting an event that creates impactful experiences and builds positive team culture, all while fundraising for Side Out’s stage IV breast cancer research. Funds also go locally to The Rose, a Houston organization that provides screening, diagnostics, and treatment services, regardless of a patient’s ability to pay.

The event unites the entire school with t-shirt sales, raffles, and special events. The pre-game celebration at the school’s Dunlap Gymnasium included free ice cream treats, face-painting, arts and crafts, hula hooping, and swag. Then, the school’s junior varsity and varsity Cooper Dragons teams took the court for their respective games.

The John Cooper School was recently voted the Number 1 Private School in The Woodlands, and is hosting an upcoming admissions open house for interested families.
