THE WOODLANDS, TX -- Congratulations to The John Cooper School’s Ian Hou for placing in the 2023 Texas Junior Academy of Science, in the category of Medicine & Health/Behavioral & Social Sciences held at Texas A&M University.
Ian created a user-friendly app that integrates multiple bioinformatics databases to predict potential cancer genes.
“I like conducting research, and there's a great need for early screening methods for ovarian cancer, which is why I did this project. I made friends with lots of great people at the presentation, and it was a great experience,” said Ian Hou.
