THE WOODLANDS, TX – The runoff election for several key City of Houston races is underway with early voting. While most Woodlands and Montgomery county residents aren’t affected by this, believe it or not the boundaries of Houston extend into our area in a couple of places, necessitating Montgomery County-based early voting and Election Day polling locations.

The runoff races are for the following City of Houston offices:Mayor; Council Member, District D; Council Member, District G; Council Member, District H; Council Member, At-Large Position 1; Council Member, At-Large Position 2; Council Member, At-Large Position 3; Council Member, At-Large Position 4; and City Controller.

Early voting takes place from Monday, November 27 through Saturday, December 2, from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., and Monday, December 4 throughTuesday, December 5, from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Two Montgomery County early voting locations are available: South County Community Center, 2235 Lake Robbins Drive, Room 104, in The Woodlands; and Lone Star College - Kingwood, Performing Arts Center, 500 Royston Drive, APA 119, in Kingwood. Limited ballots, special forms of early voting, and ballot by mail are only available at Election Central, 9159 Airport Road, in Conroe.

On Election Day, those eligible to vote for the City of Houston runoffs in Montgomery County need to go to W.D. Wilkerson Intermediate School, 12312 Sawmill Rd., in The Woodlands.

The stations are situated in Montgomery County due to two overlaps of the City of Houston into its northern neighbor; the Limited Purpose Annexation, District B – around Sawdust Road and I-45 – and Limited Purpose Annexation, District E in eastern Montgomery County.
