THE WOODLANDS, TX – As a testament to the growth in Tomball ISD, District Administration and the Board of Trustees celebrated yet another staple facility in the community as the ceremonial ribbon was cut for the Tomball Agricultural Center.

“One of the things I recognized very quickly is that this community values agriculture,” said Superintendent of Schools Dr. Martha Salazar-Zamora. “This is a big part of our community and a big fiber of our history. As we grow and as we embrace our growth, I often say ‘you have to remember your past to know where you are in the present to know where you are going in your future’. It is amazing to see where we were and where we are today. In Tomball ISD, where we are not just a district but a destination, this doesn’t end here. It is always ‘what will we do next?’ and so in wanting to ensure that we provide for all, I want you to know that while this is proudly named the Tomball Agricultural Center, it is more than that. We want this facility to bring fulfillment to all programs and students in Tomball ISD as they have so many interests. Our goal is to meet all their needs.

“With that, it brings me joy as the Superintendent of Schools, with the support from our tremendous School Board and the Tomball community, to call this our center.”

The Tomball Agricultural Center will serve all students in Tomball ISD not only as the home for the annual FFA Project Show but as a venue for robotics, fine arts, CTE and campus-based programs. The just over 45,000-square foot facility was constructed as a Bond 2021 project and is located at the Tomball Innovation Center.

School Board President Mr. John E. McStravick offered a few words during the ribbon cutting ceremony, thanking the Tomball ISD Administration and Salazar-Zamora for the vision and foresight to make this facility a reality on the grounds of the Tomball Innovation Center.

Also emphasized at the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony was the overwhelming support by the Tomball community with representatives from LAN, the project’s General Contractor Millennium Project Solutions and VLK Architects as well as the Tomball ISD Board of Trustees, Leadership Team, and Greater Tomball Area Chamber of Commerce.
