Newly covered multi-purpose court opens at Bear Branch Park

THE WOODLANDS, TX -- The Woodlands Township has opened its newly covered 15,000 square-foot multi-purpose court. This newly renovated space offers five regulation-size pickleball courts, one regulation-size in-line hockey court, one regulation-size Futsal court and one regulation-size lacrosse court. The covered court is located at Bear Branch Park, 5310 Research Forest Drive, The Woodlands, 77381.

Open to the public seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m., the Bear Branch Covered Multi-Purpose Court also offers court rentals for various sports. Full court reservations are required; individual court reservations are not permitted. Reservations have priority use.

Rental rates are as follows:

• Resident: Full Court $35 (per hour)
• Non-Resident: Full Court $70 (per hour)

To ensure the safety and enjoyment of all users, The Woodlands Township advises adherence to the following multi-purpose court rules and guidelines:

• All persons in and around the multi-purpose court must be alert and exercise caution. Sports played on these courts use flying objects and fast-paced activities.
• This is a multi-purpose court for In-Line Hockey, Futsal, Lacrosse, Pickleball and other sports as approved by Parks and Recreation Staff.
• Dogs, Skateboards, Scooters and Bikes ARE NOT PERMITTED on the multi-purpose court.
• Please wear protective gear. HELMETS are REQUIRED for Hockey and Lacrosse.
• Only skates and soft-soled shoes are allowed; cleats are prohibited.
• Spectators should remain alert and stay outside the rink.
• Help maintain cleanliness by utilizing the provided trash cans. Please keep the courts clean.
• No makeshifts or modifications to existing facilities/multi-purpose courts are permitted.
• The Woodlands Township’s scheduled events and reservations have priority use of the rink. Otherwise, the rink is available on a first come, first serve basis.
• The Woodlands Township reserves the right to revoke use of the facility privileges for individuals or groups who are rowdy and/or do not obey the rules.
