THE WOODLANDS, TX – Just in time for the fallen tree limbs to be picked up by crews and the streets to dry out from recent storms, we’ve got some smooth, seasonal weather on the horizon as we go into the final stretch of April.

A cool start to the week will warm up

All Monday long so far, we’ve had nary a cloud in the sky, and it’ll stay that way for the most part as our dew point hits rock bottom and the pressure hits a high for the week. Aided by some brisk breezes, we’ll struggle to get above the mid 70s for a high, and come sunset we’ll get down to 52 for a low under clear skies.

Tuesday will start out just as bright and a tad warmer, with the unobscured morning sun helping to get us up to 80 degrees for our high. Clouds will move in throughout the afternoon, helping to trap the heat like a blanket, and we’ll end up with an overnight low in the mid 60s.

Wednesday will be one of those high humidity days, and the lingering clouds will work to keep things a bit on the sweltery side, with a high of 84 and a degree or two tacked on to the heat index. There’s a slight possibility that a couple of the clouds could hold a few drops of rain, but chances of things getting stormy are pretty much nil. We can enjoy another overnight in the mid 60s.

The clouds will increase on Thursday, and the humidity factor will remain high, so don’t expect too much of a reprieve from the dankness in the air. We’ll hit another high in the mid 80s, but this time some 10mph breezes will help with the heat. Don’t expect the overnight low, however, to go below 70.

We’ll end the work week with more of the same, only this time with greater chances of precipitation. Outright cloudy skies will stick with us all day and night, and even completely covering the sun they can’t keep the high temperature to hit 84 again. In the evening, there could be about a 25 percent chance of rain.

Though Friday will be warm all the way through the night into Saturday, you might enjoy a brighter start to the weekend, but don’t put those umbrellas away quite yet…

Stay tuned to Woodlands Online for our Weekend Weather report coming on Friday.
