About Us

Dr. Ruth St. Victor earned her undergraduate degree in biology at Montclair State University in Upper Monclair, New Jersey, and her medical degree at New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in Old Westbury, New York. She completed a residency in family practice at Christ Hospital in Jersey City, New Jersey, followed by a residency in obstetrics-gynecology at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center in Newark, New Jersey.

Dr. St. Victor is board certified and a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (FACOG). She treats women from adolescence through menopause and speaks fluent French Creole and conversational Spanish.

In addition to a full range of gynecological services, Dr. St. Victor provides prenatal care for women with both high-risk pregnancies and low-risk pregnancies. Among her primary clinical interests are preconceptual counseling, high-risk obstetrics, routine obstetrics, contraception, well-woman exams, uterine fibroids, heavy periods, abnormal periods, sterilizations. ablations and hysterectomies.

Patient-driven care is the focus of Dr. St. Victor's practice philosophy, beginning with understanding each woman's interests, expectations and goals. She cares about her patients and listens to them, forming positive relationships as she provides their gynecological, pre-natal and postpartum care.

Away from her practice, Dr. St. Victor enjoys strength training, reading and cooking. She is also involved in local and international humanitarian relief and has made several trips to Haiti and the Dominican Republic.
