6th Annual “Around the World in 180 Minutes”

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas -- Like a fine wine, the annual “Around the World in 180 Minutes” improves with age. The 6th annual wine festival of countries to benefit Bridgewood Farms,will take place Saturday, March 22, at MainStreet America in Spring, Texas.

Attendees will be issued a passport to travel to the 18 different wine regions, and a wine glass to sample the vintages. The wines will be paired with fruit and cheeses, and the event will include both a live and silent auction, in addition to a wine pull.

On hand to lend his wine expertise, wine connoisseur, Ron Saikowski, a member of the Bridgewood Farms Board of Directors.

“It’s a great opportunity to learn more about wine and help a really good cause,” said Randy Lovelace, an incoming board member who is lending his time, energy, and concern, to this really good cause.

The annual fundraiser benefits Bridgewood Farms by providing adult day and residential services, vocational training, work experience, health, recreational, and exercise programs, for both teens and adults with intellectual disabilities. For Bridgewood Farms to provide this large array of services and maintain its 53-acre facilities at 11680 Rose Road in Conroe, support from county residents is necessary.

For sponsorships or tickets call Bridgewood Farms at 936-856-6460, ext. 101. Tickets are $60 each; sponsorships are available at various levels. MainStreet America is located at 18750 I-45N. The evenings festivities will begin at 6:30 p.m. until 9:30 p.m.
