THE WOODLANDS, Texas – Texas Children’s Hospital is pleased to announce a $100,000 gift from Chevron Phillips Chemical Company LP to Texas Children’s Hospital The Woodlands. The generous donation will be paid over a five-year term at $20,000 per year and will be used to help fund capital expenses. Donation will support new state-of-the-art pediatric medical campus


“We are thrilled to accept this gift, the largest corporate contribution to date, from Chevron Phillips Chemical Company LP,” said Laura Shuford, vice president of development at Texas Children’s Hospital. “Our patients and families will benefit greatly from its immense generosity as we continue to expand Texas Children’s high-quality care in the community.”

Slated to open in 2017, the 548,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art facility is being designed specifically to serve children and families. Texas Children’s Hospital The Woodlands will offer inpatient and outpatient specialty pediatric care in areas including: cancer, cardiology, neurology, orthopedics, diabetes and endocrinology, urology, sports medicine, gastroenterology and nutrition, plastic surgery, otolaryngology, allergy and immunology, dermatology, adolescent medicine and physical rehabilitation.

Hospital facilities will include 24 emergency center rooms, 74 outpatient rooms, five radiology rooms, four operating rooms and 30 acute care beds at opening with plans of up to 200 additional beds. In addition to serving families throughout The Woodlands, Texas Children’s anticipates serving families in counties throughout Greater North Houston including Montgomery, Walker, Grimes, Liberty, Harris, Polk, San Jacinto and Hardin counties.
