Cyclone Anaya’s Mexican Kitchen and Nick’s Fish Dive & Oyster Bar coming to Waterway Square

THE WOODLANDS, Texas – The Howard Hughes Corporation® (NYSE: HHC) and its wholly-owned subsidiary, The Woodlands Development Company, today announced that Cyclone Anaya’s Mexican Kitchen and Nick’s Fish Dive & Oyster Bar will open at 20 Waterway Avenue in The Woodlands® Waterway Square®.

Cyclone Anaya’s Mexican Kitchen has leased approximately 4,222 square feet for a Mexican food restaurant with an expected opening date set for the beginning of April. Nick’s Fish Dive & Oyster Bar has leased approximately 3,568 square feet for an urban fish dive and oyster bar. Nick’s is anticipated to open by mid to late April.

“We are pleased to welcome Cyclone Anaya’s Mexican Kitchen and Nick’s Fish Dive & Oyster Bar to The Woodlands Waterway Square,” said Alex Sutton, Co-President of The Woodlands Development Company. “The restaurants will feature delicious homemade family recipes as well as spectacular views of The Woodlands Waterway and the Fountains at Waterway Square while being convenient to nearby offices and the highly-anticipated The Westin The Woodlands.”

Past World Champion Wrestler Cyclone Anaya and his wife, Carolyn Anaya, began serving their homemade family recipes in Houston in 1966. Cyclone Anaya’s Mexican Kitchen menu includes its famous fajitas, enchiladas, pollo jalisco, carne asada a la tampiqueña, ceviche, specialty tacos, crabmeat nachos, lunch menu, kid’s menu and other specialties. The restaurant will also feature fine tequila, margaritas and a wine list.

Inspired by the Gulf of Mexico, Nick’s Fish Dive & Oyster Bar will offer comfort food such as Nick’s open-ocean Scottish salmon, Chilean sea bass, prime USDA filet, crab and spinach artichoke dip, fried oyster and shrimp baskets, peel ‘n eat shrimp buckets, po’boys, lobster rolls, fish tacos as well as new inspirations like lobster poutine, tuna tataki and scallop and shrimp cerviche. With a custom marble oyster bar, a black-board menu of fresh seafood and produce and a wide variety of “fresh today, just caught” Gulf seafood, specials will be an attraction of the restaurant. The oyster selection includes varieties from all over the west and east coasts, and is sourced through sustainable oyster projects. The bar will offer a wide variety of craft beers and cocktails along with craft beer flights, craft beer dinners and more.

“Nick’s will have live music and will bring a fun, casual, inviting and exciting atmosphere to The Waterway. The blending of fresh seafood and a farm-to-table approach with our produce and all of our fresh items are reflective of the international backgrounds of the owners, Ernest Vidal and Claudia Leonardo, and the executive chef,” said Co-Principal Claudia Leonardo.

The corporate offices of Cyclone Anaya represented the restaurant while AM Restaurant, Inc. and Claudia Leonardo represented Nick’s Fish Dive & Oyster Bar. Rip Reynolds, Director of Leasing & Commercial Land for The Howard Hughes Corporation, represented The Woodlands Development Company in both lease transactions.
