Female & Fabulous Women’s Health Event set for May 12 at new Houston Methodist Breast Care Center

THE WOODLANDS, Texas – The Houston Methodist Breast Care Center at The Woodlands invites women to spend some quality time on their health by attending the upcoming Female & Fabulous Women’s Health Event.

Set for Thursday, May 12 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., attendees will learn tips about what to know and do to live a healthy, happy and long life. Enjoy a strolling dinner and refreshments while physician specialists present valuable information about how women can be more empowered to take a proactive approach to their care.

Suzanne Stovall, DO, Family Medicine, Houston Methodist Primary Care Group, will explain functional medicine. This patient-centered approach addresses the whole person, not just an isolated set of symptoms. Discover how an integrative approach and assessment into your own care can help you achieve your best health and vitality.

Magda Ghobashy, MD, Breast Radiologist, and medical director, Houston Methodist Breast Care Center at The Woodlands will discuss the importance of scheduling a mammogram and explain the key difference between 3-D mammograms versus 2-D mammograms.

Loren Rourke, MD, FACS, Breast Surgical Oncologist, and Houston Methodist regional breast program director, will share the hottest topics in breast surgery. Learn about the latest techniques and procedures.

This educational event is just one of the many ways that we are reaching out to help the community achieve health.”

All attendees will receive a special gift. On-site screening mammography is available during the event with advanced scheduling. Houston Methodist The Woodlands Hospital is under construction and is set to open in the summer of 2017 at the southeast corner of I-45 and S.H. 242. The campus’ Medical Office Building I opened on March 1 and recently opened the new Breast Care Center.
