Memorial Hermann Mischer Neuroscience Associates welcomes new neurologist

THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- Memorial Hermann Mischer Neuroscience Associates (MNA) is pleased to announce the addition of Edward Escobar, D.O., neurologist at Mischer Neuroscience Associates-Cypress and Mischer Neuroscience Associates-The Woodlands.

“We are very excited to welcome Dr. Escobar to our team at Memorial Hermann Neuroscience Associates,” said Dong Kim, M.D., Director of the Memorial Hermann Mischer Neuroscience Institute (MNI) and professor and chair of the Vivian L. Smith Department of Neurosurgery at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth. “His high level of expertise in neurology will be of great service to the communities in The Woodlands and Cypress.”

Dr. Escobar is certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Neurology and Psychiatry. He received his Doctor of Osteopathy degree at the University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth. He then completed his first year of neurology residency at Texas Tech University in Lubbock and finished his last two years in neurology at the University of Kentucky/Chandler Medical School in Lexington, where he was chief resident.

Prior to joining Mischer Neuroscience Associates, Dr. Escobar was in private practice for 15 years. During that time, he treated patients in Lexington, Kentucky; Corpus Christi, Texas; and Houston, Texas. He also served as director of the Stroke Department at West Houston Medical Center and at Houston Northwest Medical Center.
