TWFG top producers awarded at national convention

THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- Successful insurance agents from throughout the nation received official recognition and awards during TWFG’s recent million-dollar convention at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel.

Insurance executives from 37 of the country’s major insurance carriers joined more than 400 TWFG Branch Owners and TWFG headquarters staff for the company’s annual national convention.

President and CEO Gordy Bunch inducted 20 new members into the insurance services’ Million Dollar Club, bringing its membership up to 81 “super agents.” He also welcomed five new managers to join 20 other members in the exclusive TWFG President’s Club.

Individual awards were presented for Rookie of the Year, Personal Lines Growth, and Commercial Lines Growth. Agent of the Year trophies were also awarded for Life and Health Growth producers.

One of the Woodlands-based company’s newest and most coveted awards for Excellence in Customer Service was announced from a group of four TWFG finalists.

Bunch, who founded The Woodlands Financial Group in 2001, introduced local entrepreneur and personality “Mattress Mack” as keynote speaker. Mack spoke to the assemblage on “How to be a successful entrepreneur whether you are just starting out or in your 30th year of business.”

It was noted that Bunch was the 2015 Gulf Coast Entrepreneur of the Year for Products and Services.

Bunch motivated new and veteran agents as he described TWFG and Twico’s national growth and shared the financial company’s future plans. He reinforced the company’s customer and personnel credo, “Our Policy is Caring.”

The company has also become an insurance carrier with new Twico insurance policy products. He announced to all branch owners that the "goal is to introduce new innovations and business strategies that will uniquely position you for success in an ever- changing world.” He reported that TWFG has grown to be included in the top 30 of the 38,000 insurance agencies in the United States and is ranked as number one in Texas providing “Personal Lines” (homeowners and auto insurance).”

Bunch said he expects next year’s convention to be joined by award winners from TWFG’s new expansion territories in New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania.
