THE WOODLANDS, Texas – Giving back to the community has never been cooler, and you can be a part of it on Miracle Treat Day.

On Thursday July 27, the Dairy Queen at 2300 Buckthorne Place in The Woodlands will donate $1 of every Blizzard treat sold to the Children's Miracle Network.

The money will directly benefit Texas Children's Hospital right here in The Woodlands.

"It helps families that can't otherwise afford care for their children," said Paulette Fiedler, operator of the Buckthorne Dairy Queen location. "Each year, 170 CMN hospitals (including Texas Children's) provide the finest medical care, life-saving research and preventative education to help millions of kids overcome diseases and injuries of every kind."

Fiedler raises money for the cause throughout the year, but Miracle Treat Day is the cherry on top.

The day is full of fun and adventure, including face painting, live music and demonstrations from local law enforcement. Visit their Facebook page here for a full schedule.

Large Blizzard orders can be placed ahead of time by end-of-day Tuesday July 25 for pick up on July 27. Blizzard coupons are also available for purchase. Click here for more information.

Last year, The Buckthorne Dairy Queen raised $8,300 for CMN. The goal this year is $10,000.

"Thank you to everybody for helping to improve and save the lives of children in our community," Fiedler said.
