John Cooper students recognized as Rotary Club Students of the Year

THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- Eight students from The John Cooper Upper School were recognized as Rotary Club Students of the Year at a May luncheon of Rotary Club of The Woodlands.

Students are nominated and selected based on their leadership and involvement in various organizations, both in the community and at school, while displaying a sense of fairness, honesty and integrity. The following students were recognized:

Julianna Banks and Ram Desabhotla (12th Grade), Christopher McDonald and Bea Portela (11th Grade), Cadan Hanson and Avery Schlichter (10th Grade), and Kyle Dove and Hanna Paur (9th Grade).

Rotarian and Head of The John Cooper School Michael Maher and Interact Club faculty advisors Deb Parks and Jodie Gill attended the luncheon with the student honorees.
