THE WOODLANDS, TX -- The Woodlands Township Neighborhood Services invites residents for Yappy Hours at local dog parks, beginning Tuesday, April 16, 2024. These engaging events are an integral part of the Dog Walker Watch program, designed to foster heightened awareness of suspicious activities and educate attendees on how to report such incidents to law enforcement effectively.

Residents and dog enthusiasts are encouraged to become the “extra eyes and ears” of law enforcement. The Dog Walker Watch program recognizes the unique advantage dog walkers possess in observing their surroundings and distinguishing between normal activities and potential threats.

During Yappy Hours, participants will gain insights into identifying suspicious behaviors, understanding crucial information to report and the proper procedures for reporting to law enforcement. It’s important to note that this training is not exclusive to dog walkers; the knowledge imparted applies to anyone engaging in outdoor activity.

  • Tuesday, April 16, from 5 to 6 p.m. at Harper’s Landing Dog Park (2 N. Blair Bridge Drive)
