Linh T. Y. Young, OD

Linh T. Y. Young, OD practices primary eye care for adults and children in the Pinecroft shopping Center.   Dr. Young grew up in the north Houston area.  She graduated Cum Laude from Texas A&M University with a Bachelors degree.  In 2001, she obtained her Doctorate of Optometry from the University of Houston College of Optometry receiving Beta Sigma Kappa honors.

Licensed as a Therapeutic Optometrist and Optometric Glaucoma Specialist, Dr. Young is board certified to treat medical eye problems, in addition to treating common vision related conditions.  Utilizing state-of-the-art technology, Dr. Young strives to deliver the highest standard in eye care services in order to exceed patients' expectations.  She believes that seeing well through healthy eyes enhances your quality of life, “and we want to help patients look stylish at the same time.”

Dr. Young and her husband are residents of The Woodlands.  She enjoys living and working in the same community.  She is a member of the Chamber of Commerce, American Optometric Association, and Texas Optometric Association.



Dr. Negin Akbarin

Dr. Negin Akbarin is a native of Potomac, Maryland who relocated to Houston, Texas in 2009. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Houston where she received a baccalaureate degree in Political Science with a minor in Business Administration. Realizing that she had a stronger interest for healthcare rather than law, Dr. Akbarin continued her studies to obtain her doctorate degree at the University of Houston College of Optometry. She is licensed as a Therapeutic Optometrist and Optometric Glaucoma Specialist. Dr. Akbarin was the recipient of both the Charles Briggs Optometric Scholarship and Kevin McDaid Optometric Scholarship. Her clinical experience includes completion of two externships in Austin, Texas which provided her extensive training in ocular disease, including glaucoma management and dry eye disease, specialty contact lenses, and surgical co-management of LASIK, cataracts, and retinal disease. Dr. Akbarin is passionate about cultivating strong relationships with her patients. She recognizes the importance of creating individualized treatment solutions tailored to her patients' specific lifestyle and needs. Her goals are to provide exemplary patient care while maintaining a strong commitment to the profession in advocating for public health education and awareness. While at home, she enjoys spending time with her pup, Lulu. Other pastimes include exploring local coffee shops, listening to live music, and hiking. Dr. Akbarin also enjoys traveling and learning about other cultures. She is fluent in Farsi and can conduct an eye exam in Spanish.
