THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- The Woodlands Township Parks and Recreation Department now offers an online waiver system that allows guests to move quickly through the equipment rental lines at Riva Row Boat House and Lakes Edge Boat House. Each guest to either boathouse is required to acknowledge liability and fill out a waiver before getting out on the water for a day of fun.

The online liability waiver can be filled out on The Woodlands Township website at www.thewoodlandstownship-tx.gov/rivarowboathouse before visiting Riva Row Boat House and Lakes Edge Boat House, or on a tablet at either boathouse. Once completed, the liability waiver remains active for the current year.

Offering paperless waivers is just one step the Township takes towards lightening the impact on the environment. Another step can be seen by visiting Lakes Edge Boat House. The facility utilizes solar panels to generate its own power.

Lakes Edge Boat House is located next to One Lakes Edge, a multifamily community at 1970 Hughes Landing Blvd., just a short walk from Whole Foods Market, Restaurant Row and the Lake Woodlands Boardwalk. The new facility was donated to The Woodlands Township from The Woodlands® Development Company, a wholly-owned subsidiary of The Howard Hughes Corporation®.

Riva Row Boat House and Lakes Edge Boat House offer kayak rentals Thursday through Monday from 9 a.m. to sunset. The last rental is offered one hour before sunset. For more information on pricing, locations and to review Frequently Asked Questions, please visit www.thewoodlandstownship-tx.gov/rivarowboathouse or call 281-210-3965.
