THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- Pregnancy Assistance Center North (PACN) will welcome former Pennsylvania Senator and 2012 Republican presidential contender Rick Santorum as the keynote speaker for its annual spring banquet on April 19, 2013, at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel & Convention Center. The theme for the 2013 banquet is Our Journey: New Beginnings.

In addition to Senator Santorum as the guest speaker, the banquet will also include a private VIP reception beginning at 4:30 p.m., as well as a jazz duo and silent auction at 6 p.m. The dinner and program begin at 7 p.m.

“PACN is honored to have Senator Santorum as the keynote speaker for our upcoming banquet,” PACN executive director Cindy Sunday Powell said. “He is well-known and respected for his strong conservative leadership, and particularly for his pro-life stance.”

Powell continued, “PACN serves thousands of women and men each year who are facing unplanned pregnancies or sexual health issues. From the moment the test is positive, PACN is there to offer support to every client until the baby’s first birthday. We offer STD and HIV testing and education to help our clients make responsible decisions about their sexual health. All of our programs help meet the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of our clients and their families.”

The spring banquet is one of four major fundraisers PACN hosts each year. The Superhero Flight to the Finish, a family fun run/walk, is hosted every October. Aim for Life makes its debut in early October 2013 and will be a sporting clay shooting event. Change for Life takes place year-round and groups or individuals fill up eight-ounce baby bottles with change, dollar bills and checks.

The banquet theme for 2013, Our Journey: New Beginnings, was developed as the board of directors and staff consider future plans for the pregnancy medical clinic.

PACN has banquet sponsorship levels available and registration is open for table hosts. Individual banquet tickets for the 2013 event are on sale now. Updates and other information are posted at www.pacncommunity.org.

The 2013 banquet marks the first time Senator Santorum has been involved with PACN, although he has advocated on behalf of other pregnancy centers in Texas.
