THE WOODLANDS, Texas - Nate Fisbeck hit a bases-loaded double in the first inning to lead the College Park Cavaliers to a 14-2 win the final game of the 2014 Wings ’N More Classic Tournament at College Park High School.

College Park bats around in 1st & 2nd innings

College Park (10-6) batted around in each of the first two innings, prompting Georgetown to make four pitching changes before they recorded five outs.

Nate Fisbeck’s double in the first inning took advantage of Georgetown pitcher Ben Bottlinger’s shaky start. Bottlinger walked three consecutive batters to load the bases for Fisbeck. Fisbeck’s double gave the Cavaliers a 4-0 lead. The Cavaliers would add one more to lead 5-0 before Georgetown would get a chance to bat.

In the second inning, Roosevelt Henderson, Tyler Mortensen, Nate Fisbeck and Jacob Mardick combined for 6-RBI’s in the second inning to extend the College Park lead to 12-0.

Georgetown had a chance in the bottom of the first inning to get some runs when they had the bases loaded with no outs. However Mardick pitched out of the jam with two infield fly-outs along with a line-out to shallow center field.

The Cavaliers will travel to Oak Ridge in the district opener for both teams on Thursday, March 13, at 7:00pm.
