THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS - Waste Management will provide curbside pickup of trash, recycling and yard trimmings to all residents on their regularly scheduled service day, including Monday, July 4. There will be no interruption or delay of services during the Fourth of July holiday and the week following Monday, July 4, 2016.

“Trucks and crews will be operating in The Woodlands on the Fourth of July and all services will occur as usual for the remainder of the week,” according to John Geiger, manager of The Woodlands Township Environmental Services Department.

Per Waste Management, the only holiday that will affect residential trash and recycling collection in 2016 will be Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 24, 2016. As a result, trash and recycling services will be delayed by one day. Please visit www.thewoodlandstownship-tx.gov/holidaytrash for additional information regarding holiday waste collections.

The Woodlands Township Environmental Services Department reminds residents that plastic bottles and aluminum cans are recyclable in the curbside cart. Residents are encouraged to empty liquid contents, rinse and place beverage containers in the green cart with the yellow lid. Plastic bags are not to be placed in recycling carts as they impede the recycling process.
