THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- In a magical kingdom fathoms below, the beautiful young mermaid Ariel longs to leave her ocean home to live in the world above. But first, she'll have to defy her father, King Triton, make a deal with the evil sea witch, Ursula, and convince Prince Eric that she's the girl with the enchanting voice.

Cast represents many local schools

The show's Producer, Class Act Productions Founder and Artistic Director, Keith Brumfield shared, "I think audiences will delight in seeing one of their favorite Disney princesses and her friends - and enemies, too - brought to life by our tremendously talented cast of students, ages 8 - 18. And, at just over an hour in length, the show is perfect for introducing the magic of live theatre to some of our youngest audience members, too!"

Based on the 1988 Disney film "The Little Mermaid" and the Hans Christian Andersen Story and adapted from Disney’s 2008 Broadway production, "The Little Mermaid Jr." features the hit songs "Part of Your World," "She’s in Love," and the Oscar-winning "Under the Sea." The show is in the skilled hands of long-time Class Act Director Tina Kraft, assisted by Class Act alumna Alyssa Porter Smith. Jodie Schrier, a veteran dance professional in The Woodlands, has choreographed the show and Rae Moses is the Musical Director.

Many area high schools, junior highs and middle schools will be represented by the over 70-person cast in this stage adaptation of the blockbuster Disney animated musical.
