Big eighth inning leads the Strykers to victory

THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- The Woodlands scored five runs in the top of the eighth en route to an 8-6 victory over the Generals.

Noah McGown got the big hit for the Strykers in the 8th with a bases-loaded triple that scored three. McGown finished the game with two hits and four RBIs. He is batting .346 in 15 games this season. Ivan Vera hit an RBI single scoring McGown, and Caleb Dean scored the last run of the inning on a wild pitch.

Beau Ridgeway picked up his first win of the season, going six innings and giving up two runs on seven hits.

The Woodlands will play one more in Victoria tomorrow before heading out to play the Texas Marshals on Tuesday and Wednesday. The Strykers return home on the 14th and will host the Generals at 7:05pm.
