Strykers return home to beat the Marshals

THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- The Strykers started their last home stand of the year on a positive note as they defeated the Texas Marshals, 4-3.

The Woodlands have now defeated the Marshals five straight times and are only a game and a half behind them for fourth place in the overall standings.

Jonathon Ducoff would get the Strykers on the board in the bottom of the sixth with a solo shot that brought the Woodlands within two runs. The home run was the second of the year for Ducoff. Two batters later, Caleb Dean would make the score 3-2 with an RBI single that scored Coll Stanley.

Josh Russell would give the Strykers the lead for good with a 2-run single that scored ean and Brett Wright.

Justin Barton would pitch the final two innings to collect his first win of the year.

The Woodlands continue their final home stand of the year as they take on the Marshals tomorrow at 7:05.
