THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- The Strykers erased a five game losing streak as they disposed of the Texas Marshals, 5-2.

The Woodlands were down one early but Josh Russell quickly erased that with an RBI double in the bottom of the second. The Strykers would take the lead the next inning as Roosevelt Henderson and K.K. Daniel took consecutive bases loaded walks.

Reigning TCL Pitcher of the week J.T. Jakubik would pick up his second win in a row as he went seven strong innings, allowing two runs and striking out two. Liam Roden pitched the final two innings to pick up his third save of the year.

The Strykers will play one more against the Marshals before getting two days off. The Woodlands will then play the Bombers on Wednesday and Thursday. The next home game is on Friday as they host the Texas Marshals.
