Jakubik hurls complete game shutout

THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- The Woodlands broke a 7-game winless streak as they win their first game back from the All-Star break, 4-0.

J.T. Jakubik was the star of the game for the Strykers as he went the distance, pitching nine innings and allowing only three hits while striking out 11 Texas hitters. Jakubik lowered his ERA to 2.39 for the year and leads the TCL in strikeouts with 44.

The Strykers will take on the Marshals tomorrow night at 7:05. The next home game for the Woodlands is on Thursday July 28th as they host the Cane Cutters.
